Distance Covered:

I wind and kitesurfed 43 out of 83 days on my 86l quad windsurfer for 30 sessions and kite for 27.
Sails used: 3.7m (4),4.2m (5), 4.7m (8), 5.3m(10); 11m kite (27) equivalent to 6m-7m windsurfing for me (85kg). With less and lighter windy days this year kiting gave a wider wind range for luggage allowance. When not sailing I SUPed in flat water which was pleasant, swam a 700m stretch a few times, snorkled, hiked through stunning scenery unique to volanic islands, and otherwise chilled in the good cafes and restaurants.
Sunny, 1 day rain and several partly rain and cloudy.
Waveriding: starting to get bottom and top turns, though harbour wall was poor and only a few days with shore break waves.
Kiting: can usually get upwind of where I started, though El Medano is a challenging place to learn as water is choppy, wind sometimes gusty, busy, and quickly run out of beach. Loads of windsurfing and kiting experts and champions ready with tips which helped
Holiday ended on 17 no-wind days, returning the day after I leave - c'est la vie. If waves were better would have been a 5* stay.
